Attention students! Dormitory applications are now open

As of today, August 1, applications for student housing at higher education institutions are officially open. This was announced by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.

According to the regulations approved by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 376 ("On Measures to Improve the System of Providing Housing for Students of Higher Education Institutions"), students can now submit their applications via the my.gov.uz portal.

As outlined in the regulations, students with privileges and priority status will be considered first for placement in student dormitories:

•  Pupils of “Mehribonlik” homes, orphans, and students deprived of parental care;
•  Children from families (including women) in need of social protection, listed in the "Unified Register of Social Protection," "Iron Book," "Women's Book," or "Youth Book";
•  Students with disabilities in Groups I and II;
•  Foreign students;
•  Students from families with two or more full-time undergraduate students;
•  Winners of international and national science Olympiads organized by the Ministry;
•  Winners of the national stage of the intellectual game “Zakovat” held by the Ministry;
•  Winners of the national stage of the “Student of the Year” competition;
•  Winners of the national stage of the “Student Theater Studios” competition;
•  Students serving as the chairman of the student council or as floor captains in dormitories.

After these priority categories are processed, the remaining dormitory spaces will be allocated to students on the general list as follows:

•  55–65% for 1st-year students;
•  15–20% for 2nd-year students;
•  20–25% for 3rd-year and higher-year students.

It was noted that applications will be accepted from August 1 and will remain open until the end of the academic year.

Additionally, students recommended for admission to the first stage of higher education for the 2025–2026 academic year will be able to submit their dormitory applications after final admission results are announced. Dormitory places for these students will also be allocated according to the procedure described above.

As a reminder, the admission quotas for state higher education institutions for the 2025–2026 academic year have already been approved.
