New international flights will be launched from Termez, the administrative center of Surkhandarya region, to Istanbul and Dubai. The announcement was made on February 27 during a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the comprehensive development of the Surkhandarya region.

According to the meeting, regular flights on the Termez–Istanbul and Termez–Dubai routes are set to begin.

It was noted that around 100,000 people travel daily by car from Shurchi, Denov, Sariosiyo, Sherobod, and Boysun to the regional center. Authorities have been instructed to prioritize these routes when deploying the 125 buses being delivered to Surkhandarya.

By the end of the year, a project to provide centralized drinking water for the first time to 56,000 residents of Muzrabot district will be completed.

Work will also begin on projects to install sewerage systems in the centers of Muzrabot, Oltinsoy, Angor, Kizirik, and Boysun districts.

It was further noted that, in cooperation with partners, a scientific solution has been found to address a complex technological issue at the “25th Anniversary of Independence” major gas processing complex.

“We will stop the авария and at the same time launch a project that will give a major boost to Surkhandarya’s economy,” the President said.
