First Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology appointed

Feruza Rustamovna Khamidova has been appointed First Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology, the ministry’s press service reported.

On September 5, a videoconference meeting was held under the leadership of Minister of Mining and Geology Bobur Islomov with the participation of heads of departments, divisions, subordinate enterprises, and organizations of the central apparatus.

During the meeting, the minister emphasized the accelerated implementation of reforms, investment projects, scientific research, transformation, and digitalization processes in the sector.

It was announced that Feruza Khamidova would assume the post of First Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology. At the same time, Omonulla Zabihullaevich Nasriddinkhojaev was relieved of the position due to his transfer to another job.

For reference, Feruza Khamidova graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Finance in 2000. She previously headed the Tashkent representative office of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine and later served as Deputy Chairman of the Board for Economics and Finance. She was also a member of the Supervisory Board of Uzsanoatqurilishbank, where she headed the Credit Operations Department.

It is worth noting that earlier, by presidential resolution, Alisher Shukrullaevich Boboev was appointed First Deputy Minister of Health.
