Mother attempts to sell her 3-year-old child for $10,000 in Tashkent (video)

A 41-year-old mother was detained in Tashkent’s Sergeli district while allegedly attempting to sell her child for $10,000. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this.
According to the ministry, during an operation conducted in Sergeli district, a woman born in 1985 was found to have planned in advance to sell her three-year-old child to a stranger for $10,000. She was detained by officers involved in the operation while receiving the money.
A criminal case has been opened against the mother under Article 135, Part 3, Clause “b” of the Criminal Code, which covers human trafficking.
Earlier, an 18-year-old woman was detained in Bukhara district of Bukhara region for allegedly attempting to sell her three-day-old baby.
