Passenger dies in traffic accident in Tashkent

Today, January 8, a Chevrolet Onix collided with a GAZ-63 truck in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent, resulting in the death of one person. The Tashkent City Traffic Safety Department reported this.

According to the report, at around 5:00 a.m., on a secondary road along Yangi Uzbekistan Street in the Mirzo Ulugbek district, a driver born in 2004 lost control of a Chevrolet Onix while driving and crashed into a GAZ-63 truck that was stationary on the roadside.

As a result of the traffic accident, a passenger in the Chevrolet Onix died from injuries sustained in the collision.

Following the incident, the Investigation Department of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under Article 266, Part 2 of the Criminal Code, which concerns violations of traffic safety or vehicle operation rules. Investigative actions are currently ongoing.

It is worth recalling that earlier, in the Khorezm region, a Nexia driver collided with a Lacetti traveling in the same direction and subsequently crashed into a roadside tree. As a result of that accident, the Nexia driver died.
