US President Donald Trump has invited Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to join a Peace Council on Gaza. This was announced by presidential spokesperson Ruslan Zheldibay in an interview with Tengrinews.

“Yes, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was among the first world leaders to receive an official invitation, and Kazakhstan has been given the opportunity to become one of the founding members of this Peace Council. In response, the head of state sent a letter of gratitude to the US President and confirmed his consent to join the new body,” Zheldibay said.

According to him, the President reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to contribute to ensuring lasting peace in the Middle East, strengthening trust between states, and enhancing global stability.

It should be noted that on January 15, Trump announced the establishment of a Peace Council tasked with overseeing reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip. The creation of this body is a key element of Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, which also includes the deployment of international forces.

The Peace Council may include representatives from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.

Earlier reports noted that Donald Trump had invited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to become one of the founders of the Peace Council responsible for rebuilding Gaza and ensuring its security. Trump has also invited Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to join the Gaza Peace Council.
