Uzbekistan’s membership in the “Peace Council” officially confirmed

The “Peace Council” established by US President Donald Trump has officially confirmed Uzbekistan’s membership as a founding state. This was reported on the Council’s official social media pages.

It is noteworthy that on January 22, representatives of 19 countries signed the Charter of the “Peace Council,” which was established within the framework of efforts to achieve peace in the Gaza Strip, during the World Economic Forum in Davos. According to the initiator of the Council, US President Donald Trump, additional countries have also joined the organization.

The event, held under the chairmanship of President Trump, was attended by presidents, prime ministers, and foreign ministers of Argentina, Armenia, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Paraguay, Pakistan, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Hungary, and other countries.

The “Peace Council” was established in accordance with an agreement on the governance of the Gaza Strip between Israel and the radical Hamas movement. At the same time, it is expected that the Council will also be engaged in preventing and resolving conflicts in other regions.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev also participated in the ceremony for the signing of the Charter of the organization, during which Uzbekistan formally joined the Council.
