An Uzbek citizen who traveled to Istanbul in search of work and found themselves in a difficult social situation has been returned to Uzbekistan, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul reported.
According to the statement, the Consulate General positively resolved the citizen’s appeal and assisted with their return to Uzbekistan. The cost of the airline ticket was covered by the Andijan regional branch of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.
The Consulate General also urged citizens planning to travel abroad for work to ensure that all documents are properly legalized and to avoid trusting unverified or suspicious job offers.
Earlier, six children who had been left without care in various regions of the Russian Federation were returned to Uzbekistan.
