Vladimir Solovyov openly stated on live television what had previously been implied indirectly. In major politics, ideas voiced aloud are no longer philosophy; they are rehearsals for actions that may follow. This was written by Sherzodkhon Qudratkhoja, rector of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, on his Telegram channel.
According to him, such broadcasts serve to gradually prepare society for the idea of war. He also expressed hope that the remarks do not represent the official position of Russia’s top leadership, but rather another propagandistic statement aimed at a domestic audience.
“Solovyov’s remarks are a premeditated and dangerous propagandistic move… And we sincerely hope that this is not the official position of Russia’s highest leadership, but another propagandistic performance intended to influence the studio’s internal audience,” Sherzodkhon Qudratkhoja said.
He added that Solovyov may speak loudly and eloquently, like a nightingale, but he does not always bear responsibility for the consequences of his words.
Qudratkhoja also stressed that such ideas do not emerge without reason and cited historical examples.
“Laozi warned as early as the 6th century BC: watch your thoughts, because they are the beginning of your actions,” he noted.
It is worth noting that on January 10, Russian television host and Kremlin-affiliated propagandist Vladimir Solovyov said during a live broadcast that the “special military operation” launched in Ukraine should also be carried out in “other territories within Russia’s sphere of influence,” including Central Asian countries and Armenia.
