Traffic accident between two trucks in Urgut

Two trucks, models MAZ and MAN, collided and overturned in the Urgut district of the Samarkand region on August 12, the regional Road Traffic Safety Department reported.

According to the report, at around 10:20 a.m., the driver of a MAZ truck traveling along the inner “Kamangaron–Mergancha” road in the “Mergancha” neighborhood of Urgut district struck the rear of a MAN truck, causing the accident.

Qalampir.uz reported that the brakes on one of the trucks failed. One of the drivers was hospitalized.

The Road Traffic Safety Department of the Samarkand region stated that no other injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Initial investigations are being conducted by the Urgut district Traffic Police Department under the Directorate of Internal Affairs.

Earlier, a traffic accident involving ten cars occurred in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent city after a truck driver lost control of the vehicle. No injuries were reported in that incident.
