House explosion reported in O‘rta Chirchiq, 4 people dead

Reports have circulated on social media about an explosion at a house in the O‘rta Chirchiq district of Tashkent Region, allegedly resulting in four fatalities. QALAMPIR.UZ contacted Murod Sodiqov, spokesperson for the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, to clarify the situation.
According to him, a fire broke out in a house located in the “O‘rta Ovul” neighborhood on the night of April 16, resulting in the deaths of four members of the same family. Emergency services arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. However, the ministry’s representative neither confirmed nor denied that an explosion had occurred.
Preliminary information indicates that a man born in 1996 and his three children died in the fire that followed the reported explosion. His wife and mother are currently in critical condition in hospital.
The cause of the incident has not yet been established. Officials from relevant agencies are working at the scene.
It is worth noting that earlier, an explosion occurred at a gas filling station in the Denov district of Surkhandarya Region, leaving two people with burn injuries.
