The team of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan has won the 8th International “Team Spirit” competition held in Pakistan, setting a new record. This was reported by the ministry’s press service.

A total of 31 teams took part in the competition, including 17 international teams from 14 countries—Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia (4 teams), the United States, Morocco, China, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Qatar—and 14 teams representing Pakistan.

According to the competition rules, teams navigated using azimuth across seven checkpoints along a route of up to 90 kilometers within a 60-hour timeframe. Along the route, they completed various specialized tasks in tactical and special training, shooting, medical aid, communications, engineering, protection against weapons of mass destruction, military topography, and unexpected scenario-based challenges.

Although the Uzbek Defense Ministry team started 17th according to the draw, it successfully completed each task and reached the finish line first, with a time of 46 hours and 44 minutes. Notably, the team set a competition record by evacuating a 90 kg wounded person with full gear over a distance of five kilometers in just 34 minutes and 15 seconds.

Based on the final results, Uzbekistan took 1st place with a 95 percent score, followed by China in 2nd place with 74 percent, and Bahrain in 3rd place with 65 percent.

It should be recalled that on April 16 of this year, it was reported that the joint India-Uzbekistan military exercises “Friendship – 2025” had commenced at the Aundh International Training Base in Pune, India.
