The Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) has recruited a Spanish head chef and a professional nutritionist to the national team staff to ensure optimal preparation for the 2026 World Cup. The move aims to monitor players’ healthy nutrition, improve recovery processes, and enhance overall team performance, the UFA press service reported.
This initiative is designed to help the national team maintain proper dietary routines, ensure energy balance, and sustain high levels of physical readiness during matches.
For reference, the Uzbekistan national team will participate in an international friendly tournament in Dubai during the November FIFA dates. The tournament will feature World Cup participants, including Uzbekistan, Iran, Egypt, and Cabo Verde, with all matches held at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.
It is worth noting that Timur Kapadze, the former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, who had been serving as an assistant coach, has recently left the team.
