Nodir Ganiyev appointed as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Portugal

Nodir Ganiyev, the newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Portugal (based in Paris), has presented his credentials to the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. The news was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.
Following the official ceremony held at the Belem Palace, the President of Portugal expressed high appreciation for the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations. Particular attention was given to strengthening cooperation in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
President Rebelo de Sousa also congratulated Nodir Ganiyev on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic efforts to advance Uzbekistan–Portugal cooperation.
For reference, diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Portugal were established on August 12, 1992.
It should be noted that earlier, Rahmatulla Nurimbetov, the newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Norway (based in Stockholm), presented his credentials to King Harald V.
