Uzbekistan ends World Championships with 12 medals

The nine-day World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, India, concluded yesterday, October 5. On the final day of the competition, Madina Mukhtorova broke the Asian record and won the silver medal of the World Championships.

Mukhtorova competed in the women’s F40 shot put event, where she set a new Asian record with a throw of 8.99 meters, earning the silver medal.

The Uzbekistan national team won a total of 12 medals — 5 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze — at the World Championships, which brought together around 1,400 athletes from 109 countries.

Gold medals:

•  Yakuthon Kholbekova (T12, long jump)
•  Jasur Khodzhaev (F32, shot put)
•  Karomat Omonova (F46, shot put)
•  Fakhriddin Khamroev (T12, 400m)
•  Temurbek Giyazov (T64, high jump)

Silver medals:

•  Kubaro Khakimova (F41, shot put)
•  Shahina Yigitalieva (F46, javelin)
•  Yorkinbek Odilov (F57, javelin)
•  Bobur Omonov (F41, shot put)
•  Madina Mukhtorova (F40, shot put)

Bronze medals:

•  Tolibboy Yuldashev (F37, shot put)
•  Navruza Akhmatova (F41, discus)

For your information, the Uzbekistan national team finished the New Delhi 2025 World Championships in 14th place in the overall team standings.
