Uzbekistan ends World Championships with 12 medals

The nine-day World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, India, concluded yesterday, October 5. On the final day of the competition, Madina Mukhtorova broke the Asian record and won the silver medal of the World Championships.
Mukhtorova competed in the women’s F40 shot put event, where she set a new Asian record with a throw of 8.99 meters, earning the silver medal.
The Uzbekistan national team won a total of 12 medals — 5 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze — at the World Championships, which brought together around 1,400 athletes from 109 countries.

- Yakuthon Kholbekova (T12, long jump)
- Jasur Khodzhaev (F32, shot put)
- Karomat Omonova (F46, shot put)
- Fakhriddin Khamroev (T12, 400m)
- Temurbek Giyazov (T64, high jump)
