A law aimed at improving the regulation of sponsorship activities is set to be adopted in Uzbekistan. The draft law, developed by the Ministry of Justice, was approved today, February 25, by deputies in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis in its first reading.

According to reports, the draft law introduces effective mechanisms for state support of sponsorship activities, enhances the transparency of sponsorship organizations, and strengthens public trust in them. It also provides a legal framework for the collection of funds for sponsorship initiatives.

The proposed legislation outlines additional measures for state support of sponsorship, regulates the collection of sponsorship donations, establishes guidelines for setting up and using donation boxes, and sets conditions for disclosing information on sponsorship contributions to ensure transparency.

The adoption of this law is expected to prevent violations related to the collection of sponsorship donations, enhance the transparency of sponsorship organizations, and further build public confidence in charitable activities.
