Uzbekistan reports number of tourists since the start of the year

Nearly 1.77 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan in January–February 2026, according to the Tourism Committee.
The report noted that the number of visitors increased by 441,000 compared to the same period last year. As in previous years, the majority of tourists arrived from neighboring countries. Kyrgyzstan ranked first with more than 521,000 visitors, followed by Tajikistan with 469,000 and Kazakhstan with 386,000.
Russia (123,000), Afghanistan (83,000), Turkmenistan (51,000), China (49,000), Turkey (24,000), India (9,000), and South Korea (5,000) were also among the top ten countries by number of visitors.
Earlier, it was reported that April–June 2026 has been declared the “Open Tourism Season” in Uzbekistan. As part of the initiative, 50 foreign bloggers with more than five million followers on social media will be offered a seven-day free tour package to visit the country.
