Uzhydromet issues emergency warning

Due to expected precipitation and fluctuations in air temperature between March 2 and 6, mudflows and flash floods may occur in some areas, UzHydromet reported.

According to the agency, the following areas are at risk:

In Kashkadarya region: Yakkabag, Dehkanabad, Chiroqchi, Kitab, Shahrisabz, Kamashi and Guzar districts.

In Surkhandarya region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherobod, Shurchi, Kumkurgan and Muzrabot districts.

In Samarkand region: Urgut, Samarkand, Bulungur, Nurabad, Kushrabot, Kattakurgan, Payariq, Jomboy and Ishtikhon districts.

In Navoi region: Khatirchi, Navbahor, Nurota, Konimex and Karmana districts.

In Jizzakh region: Zomin, Bakhmal, Gallaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish and Yangiabad districts.

In Tashkent region: Ohangaron, Bostanliq, Parkent, Piskent, Urtachirchiq and Yukorichirchiq districts, as well as the cities of Angren and Almalyk.

In Namangan region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan and Yangiqorgon districts.

In Fergana region: Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana and Beshariq districts.

In Andijan region: Andijan, Asaka, Jalakuduk, Kurgantepa, Pakhtaabad, Izboskan, Khojaabad and Marhamat districts, as well as the city of Khanabad.

In some parts of the republic, heavy rainwater accumulation is possible, which may lead to localized flooding.

Residents of mountainous areas, vacationers and drivers traveling through mountain roads are urged to take precautionary measures.
