Uzhydromet issued an urgent warning

Uzhydromet has issued a warning regarding possible natural disasters expected due to rainfall from May 8 to 11 this year. According to the agency, mudslides and floods may occur in the mountainous and foothill areas of the country.
The following regions are at risk:
In the Kashkadarya region: Yakkabag, Dehkanabad, Chirakchi, Kitab, Shakhrisabz, Kamashi, and Guzar districts.
In the Surkhandarya region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherabad, Shorchi, Kumkurgan, and Muzrabat districts.
In the Samarkand region: Urgut, Samarkand, Bulungur, Nurabad, Kushrabod, Kattakurgan, Payarik, Jambay, and Ishtikhan districts.
In the Jizzakh region: Zomin, Bakhmal, Gallaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish, and Yangiabad districts.
In the Tashkent region: Ahangaran, Bostanlyk, Parkent, Piskent, Ortachirchik, Yukarichirchik districts, as well as the cities of Angren and Almalyk.
In the Namangan region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, and Yangikurgan districts.
In the Fergana region: Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana, and Besharik districts.
In the Andijan region: Andijan, Asaka, Jalakuduk, Kurgantepa, Pakhtaabad, Izboskan, Khojaabad, Markhamat districts and the city of Khonabad.
Uzhydromet urges residents living in mountainous and foothill areas, as well as tourists and drivers traveling through these regions, to take necessary precautions.
There is also a possibility of rainwater accumulation throughout the country, which could lead to localized flooding in some areas.
