The fire did not occur at Korzinka – Zafar Khashimov

Earlier, reports emerged of a fire at the Aviator shopping and entertainment center in Tashkent’s Yashnobod district. The source of the fire was located on the second floor of the building, where no Korzinka store is situated. Korzinka retail chain founder Zafar Khashimov wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the Korzinka supermarket operates on a lease basis on the first floor of the Aviator shopping center, and the building itself does not belong to Korzinka. The fire occurred outside the Korzinka store area, and the supermarket has no connection to the origin of the fire.

Once the fire was detected, all prescribed safety measures were immediately implemented. Customers and store employees were promptly evacuated to a safe location. No injuries were reported among supermarket staff or customers.

Khashimov added that Korzinka remains in constant contact with emergency services and relevant authorities.

It is worth noting that one person died as a result of the fire. At present, no information has been released regarding the age or gender of the deceased. The scene was personally visited by Minister of Emergency Situations Azizbek Ikromov. The fire was contained at 4:50 p.m. and fully extinguished at 5:17 p.m.
