What is the condition of the girl who lost her legs in a road accident?

Earlier, it was reported that a motorcycle had hit a 15-year-old girl in the city of Almalyk, Tashkent region, causing her legs to be severed. The girl is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of Almalyk City Central Hospital. Laziz Hojinazarov, chief physician of the hospital, provided details to QALAMPIR.UZ.

According to the information, the patient was taken to Almalyk City Central Hospital at around 11:30 p.m. on May 14. Doctors immediately provided emergency care and performed surgery. During the operation, the lower part of her left leg below the knee was amputated. Her right leg was placed in a cast from the ankle. Abrasions and injuries on her body were also cleaned and first aid was provided. After the surgery, the patient was transferred to the intensive care unit, where she received a blood transfusion.

She is currently being prepared for transfer to a general ward.

How did the accident happen?

The incident occurred on May 14 this year in the city of Almalyk, Tashkent region. According to the regional Traffic Safety Department, at around 11:00 p.m., a motorcyclist, identified as S.F., born in 2003, was riding along Amir Temur Street when he hit a pedestrian born in 2011 who was crossing the road at an undesignated area for pedestrians.

The Almalyk City Department of Internal Affairs is currently conducting a preliminary inquiry into the incident.
