Jizzakh villages hit by another flood (video)

Today, June 12, a flood hit several villages in the Zamin district of the Jizzakh region. This was reported by the regional Emergency Situations Department.

It was noted that due to heavy rains in the mountainous and hilly areas of the Zamin district, mudflows occurred in the village of Yayilma of the "Shirin" neighborhood, the village of Hulkar of the "Nihol" neighborhood, the village of "Tarakkiyot" neighborhood, and the village of Turkmen.

As a result of the mudflows, stones and gravel were observed on some roads. With the help of personnel from the Emergency Situations Department and engineering equipment, the roads were immediately cleared, and vehicle traffic has resumed.

According to the Emergency Situations Department, there was no damage to citizens, residential buildings, social infrastructure, or livestock.

Currently, 10 special vehicles and 38 personnel from the department are working to eliminate the consequences of the mudflows.

It should be recalled that on June 7 of this year, a strong mudflow from the mountains near the Davlat neighborhood in the Bakhmal district of the Jizzakh region also affected the surrounding area.
