Today, January 10, Uzbekistan’s Olympic national team will take to the field in the second round of the Asian Cup. Ravil Haydarov’s side will face Iran in this match. The game will be played at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium and will kick off at 7:00 p.m. Tashkent time.
The teams last met in this age category during the qualification stage of the 2023 Asian Cup. In that match, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s Olympic team defeated Iran 1–0, denying them qualification for the tournament.
For reference, in the Saudi Arabia–hosted competition, Uzbekistan’s Olympic team secured a 3–2 victory over Lebanon in the first round, with goals from Amirbek Saidov, Ravshan Khairullaev, and Sardor Bahromov.
