Syrdarya youth defeat Kashkadarya to win SSS Cup final (photo report)

On August 23, the final matches of the State Security Service (SSS) Cup in football and mini-football were held at the JAR Stadium in Tashkent as part of the Five Initiatives Olympics. QALAMPIR.UZ has prepared a photo report from the decisive football match.

In the final, the youth team from the Jomiy mahalla of Syrdarya Region defeated the Qoratepa mahalla team from Kashkadarya Region with a score of 1–0, securing the SSS Cup title.

The opening minutes of the match were evenly contested. By the middle of the first half, however, Syrdarya began to dominate possession and create more chances. Despite several attacks, the first half ended goalless.

The second half started with continued pressure from the Syrdarya side. In the 37th minute, their efforts paid off, and they took a 1–0 lead. Kashkadarya responded with a series of counterattacks but was unable to break through, and the score remained unchanged until the final whistle.

In the match for third place, Tashkent City defeated Fergana Region. The winners in mini-football competitions are as follows:

Girls’ teams:

  •  Navoi Region – 1st place
  •  Tashkent City – 2nd place
  •  Samarkand Region – 3rd place

Boys’ teams:

  •  Tashkent City – 1st place
  •  Samarkand Region – 2nd place
  •  Kashkadarya Region – 3rd place

At the national stage, the winning boys’ teams in football and mini-football will be awarded a mini-football field. The second-place teams will receive a universal sports field suitable for basketball and volleyball, while third-place teams will be awarded a streetball (single-basket basketball) field. The winners and prize-winners of the girls’ competitions will receive cash prizes.
