As of January 1, 2026, nearly 450,000 citizens in Uzbekistan have activated the “Credit Ban” service to prevent fraud. This was reported by the Credit Information and Analytical Center, a credit bureau.

According to the bureau, a total of 438,322 people have connected to the service so far, with men accounting for the majority of users. The number of male users stands at 292,722, while 145,600 women have activated the service.

For reference, the service allows individuals to temporarily or permanently restrict loans from being issued in their name or, conversely, to remove the restriction. No documents are required to use the service, and it is provided free of charge.

Users can independently activate or deactivate the “Credit Ban” service both online and offline through the following channels:

– via the CIAC mobile application, under the “Popular Services” section by selecting “Credit Ban”;
– through the personal account section on the credit bureau’s official website;
– via the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services (my.gov.uz) and its mobile application, using the service titled “Imposing or removing a ban on concluding credit agreements”;
– through any Public Service Center operating across the country.

It is worth noting that earlier reports said Uzbekistan would prohibit the recovery of loan debts from pension payments.
