On October 6, 2025, a passenger train collided with a truck in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. This was reported by Uzbekistan Railways JSC.

According to the report, the incident occurred at 15:31 at an unguarded railway crossing located at the 8th picket of the 531st kilometer between the Turtkul and Ellikkal'a stations of the Kungrad regional railway junction. While passenger train No. 128 was operating on the Kungrad–Andijan route, it collided with a KamAZ truck that entered the crossing despite the warning signals.

As a result of the collision, the truck driver was hospitalized. There were 216 passengers on board the train, none of whom were injured. Because the locomotive was unable to continue pulling the train after the incident, a replacement locomotive — UzTE16M2 No. 025 — was dispatched to the site at 16:15.

“Relevant officials and law enforcement officers have arrived at the scene. The investigation is currently ongoing,” the report stated.

It is worth noting that on July 30 of this year, a truck and a train collided at another unguarded railway crossing at the 592nd kilometer between the Badai and Beruniy stations, also located in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
