A total of 244 billion soums have been allocated for the repair of apartment buildings, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services reported.

According to the ministry, as part of preparations for the autumn-winter season, repair works have been planned for 9,812 multi-apartment buildings across the country. The allocated 244 billion soums were used to repair roofs, basements, facades, entrances, and internal engineering networks.

It is expected that these preparations will help save 20 million kWh of electricity and 2.8 million cubic meters of natural gas during the autumn-winter period.

In addition, 1,500 coded iron doors, 14,600 square meters of glass frames, and nearly 70,000 energy-efficient lamps have been installed. Using state program and local budget funds, repair work has also been carried out on more than 4,000 additional buildings.

To ensure stable operation during the heating season, reserves of essential materials have been prepared, including 207,000 square meters of slate, 36,000 valves, 145,000 meters of various pipes, and 379 tons of sand-salt mixture, among other supplies.

The modernization of 505 elevators has also been planned — 301 have already been installed, and work continues on another 108.

To improve energy efficiency in apartment buildings, installation of solar panels and heliocollectors has been initiated. Moreover, within the framework of a government resolution, 195,000 square meters of building facades have been covered with basalt insulation material. This measure alone is expected to save 20 million kWh of electricity and 2.8 million cubic meters of gas.

Earlier, it was reported that the basic consumption norm of natural gas during the heating season would be increased fivefold.
