Wanted Iranian national extradited to Uzbekistan by Azerbaijan

An Iranian national accused of fraud and wanted internationally has been extradited to the Republic of Uzbekistan by the Azerbaijani authorities. The information was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the statement, Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General’s Office granted a request from the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan to extradite the wanted individual, identified as Imani Ali Abdulloh, a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran born on March 30, 1970.
It was reported that the suspect was located and detained on the territory of Azerbaijan in 2025.
Azerbaijani authorities decided to extradite the accused based on the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family, and Criminal Matters dated October 7, 2002. The individual was handed over to Uzbekistan’s authorized bodies under the escort of a special convoy of the Enforcement Service under the Ministry of Justice.
It is worth noting that in 2025, another individual who had been identified and detained in Azerbaijan was also extradited to Uzbekistan.
