Khusanov nominated for Manchester City Player of the Season award

Manchester City has announced the list of nominees for the club’s Player of the Season award for the 2025-2026 campaign. Uzbekistan national team defender Abdukodir Khusanov is also included on the list, the club’s press service reported.
According to the report, 25 players have been nominated for Manchester City’s Player of the Season award. Voting has already begun and will continue until May 15. After that, three finalists will be selected for the final stage of voting.
It should be noted that Khusanov was named Manchester City’s Player of the Month twice this season, in January and March.
For reference, Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol won the award last season.
Earlier, Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero praised Abdukodir Khusanov’s performances, saying that if he continues at this pace, he could become one of the best defenders in the world.
