Tashkent Metro records highest-ever passenger numbers in 2025

In 2025, the Tashkent Metro served a record number of passengers, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Data show that the metro system transported a total of 286.8 million passengers in 2025, averaging about 785,600 passengers per day.
For reference, this is the highest figure in the history of the Tashkent Metro and represents a 6.1 percent increase compared to 2024.
Passenger numbers by year are as follows:
- 2020 – 38.8 million;
- 2021 – 101.8 million;
- 2022 – 136.7 million;
- 2023 – 172 million;
- 2024 – 270.3 million;
- 2025 – 286.8 million.
It is worth noting that earlier reports stated that ticket offices at 19 Tashkent Metro stations were closed.
