In 2025, a total of 39,700 foreign citizens arrived in Uzbekistan for educational purposes, the National Statistics Committee reported.
This figure represents an increase of 58.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
The number of foreign nationals who came to Uzbekistan to study in 2025 by country is as follows:
- India – 17,241;
- Turkmenistan – 9,349;
- Tajikistan – 2,904;
- Pakistan – 1,779;
- China – 1,428;
- South Korea – 917;
- Kyrgyz Republic – 912;
- Egypt – 893;
- Philippines – 745;
- United States – 482;
- Other countries – 3,011.
Earlier, it was reported that from January to November 2025, a total of 27,800 citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for educational purposes.
