Alimony debtor caught attempting to escape over fence in Namangan (video)

In the Namangan region, a father who was in arrears on alimony payments was detained while attempting to escape by climbing over a fence. This was reported to QALAMPIR.UZ by Farrukh Toshpo‘latov, press secretary of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau.
According to him, on January 20 this year, officers from the search division of the Namangan regional department of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau detained a man who had been wanted for failing to pay 30 million soums in alimony. He had previously served a 15-day administrative detention. While being brought to the department to initiate a criminal case, the man attempted to flee by climbing over a fence.
It was noted that in the Namangan region in 2025, criminal cases were initiated against 61 out of 258 wanted debtors. Administrative measures were applied to 146 individuals. A total of 396 million soums in alimony payments were recovered from 31 debtors. Currently, 82 individuals remain on the wanted list, including 25 under local search.
It is worth noting that earlier, in the Jizzakh region, an alimony debtor was detained after being found hiding on the balcony of his second wife’s home.
