A criminal case has been initiated against a chief legal adviser at a bank branch in the Namangan region, according to the State Security Service of Uzbekistan.
According to the report, the official demanded $3,000 from a private medical clinic in Namangan city. The clinic had been unable to repay a loan of 16.2 billion soums issued by the bank in 2021.
