The case against blogger Sanjar Karimov, known by the nickname “Real Sanjik,” is being heard today, May 8, at the Mirzo Ulugbek District Criminal Court. During the hearing, he said he had been pressured during the investigation. This was reported by a QALAMPIR.UZ correspondent attending the trial.
“During the investigation, they forcibly kept me there without warning and told me: ‘If you don’t sign the indictment, you will rot here.’ My teeth also fell out. They forced me. They said: ‘If you don’t sign it, you will continue to rot here,’” Sanjar Karimov said.
He also told the court that he was jailed for giving money.
“When they ask me in Toshturma why I am in prison, I say I was jailed for giving money. Your Honour, is my crime buying a house or giving money?” Karimov said.
He also said he was left without money or a home, adding that his “son-in-law” had deceived him.
“They put me behind bars because they thought I had money. Now I have neither money nor a house. I have nothing. The fraudster son-in-law deceived me,” Sanjar Karimov said.
The final stage of the court hearing is currently under way. Details of the case will soon be available on QALAMPIR.UZ’s YouTube channel.
