Aziz Abduhakimov appointed as Presidential Adviser

Aziz Abduhakimov has been appointed as the President’s Adviser on Environmental Issues and Chairman of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change. The appointment was made by a decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In connection with the appointment, Aziz Abduhakimov has been relieved of his duties as Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

For reference, Aziz Abduhakimov previously served as Minister of Natural Resources. Since 2023, he had been working as the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change.

As reported earlier, under a presidential decree, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change was removed from the Cabinet of Ministers’ structure and reorganized into the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change, with its existing staff positions retained.
