On March 25, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov and Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation, Saidov said on his Telegram channel.

According to Saidov, the sides discussed priority areas of expanding bilateral and regional cooperation, reviewed practical mechanisms for implementing agreements reached at the highest level, and exchanged views on upcoming joint events.

“We also touched upon the situation in the Middle East, emphasizing that existing issues should be resolved exclusively through dialogue and diplomatic means,” Saidov said.

At the conclusion of the talks, the ministers agreed to intensify joint efforts to further develop the strategic partnership and fully utilize its potential.

It is worth noting that earlier, Saidov met with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during an informal meeting of foreign ministers of member states of the Organization of Turkic States.
