Prominent artists and scholars receive the Order of Friendship

Lola Yuldosheva, a singer of the Uzbek Concert State Institution; Boir Kholmirzayev, a film actor; and Yulduz Rajabova, a theater and film actress, have been awarded the Order of Friendship. The presidential decree announcing the awards was signed today, August 23, by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The awards were presented on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. The recipients were honored for their contributions to strengthening the country’s independence, as well as for their efforts to raise the intellectual and spiritual potential of the nation through their exceptional talent and extensive scientific, creative, and practical work.

The following individuals were also awarded the Order of Friendship:

  •  Abdulla Akbarov – Artist of the Margilan City Musical Maqom Theater, Master of Artistic Words, Fergana Region
  •  Nabiyra Arzuova – Poet, Member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, Republic of Karakalpakstan
  •  Irina Boymurodova – Computer Science Teacher, Secondary School No. 21, Angren, Tashkent Region
  •  Svetlana Barasheva – Highest Category Artist, Russian Drama Theater of Samarkand Region
  •  Khayriddin Begmatov – Writer, Member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, Samarkand Region
  •  Farhod Boynazarov – Chief Director, Kashkadarya Regional Musical Drama Theater

Lola Yuldosheva was born on September 4, 1985, in Samarkand. She is an Uzbek singer, composer, and actress, widely known under her stage name Lola. In 2004, she rose to fame in Uzbekistan with her hit song “Muhabbatim.” She performs in both Uzbek and Russian.
