Earlier, it was reported that Russian television host and prominent Kremlin-aligned propagandist Vladimir Solovyov, during a live broadcast, said that the so-called “special military operation” launched in Ukraine should also be carried out in other territories considered to be within “Russia’s sphere of influence,” including Central Asian countries and Armenia. Bobur Bekmurodov, Chairman of the Yuksalish Nationwide Movement and a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, reacted to Solovyov’s remarks, calling his statements “nonsense” and referring to him as a “copy.” He shared his response on his Telegram channel.
“We spit on Solovyov’s words, and we spit on his imperialist ambitions as well. We recommend that he learn an Uzbek expression which, when translated literally, carries this meaning: go and play with your own nightingale,” Bekmurodov said.
He also described the Kremlin-affiliated journalist Vladimir Solovyov’s latest remarks about conducting “special operations” in Central Asia as outright nonsense.
“This copy, who proposes to ‘spit on’ international law, is suggesting that our region be included in his imperial doctrines. Times have changed. The era when the fate of nations was decided by shouting in television studios or by instructions from ‘big brothers’ has long been consigned to the dustbin of history. Our borders are our honor. Any threat to our independence will be met not with ‘submission,’ but with a firm and united response from our nation. Such provocations only turn neighbors into enemies. We have the will, the resources, and the courage to defend our own home,” Bobur Bekmurodov stated.
It is worth noting that Bobur Bekmurodov is considered one of the few Uzbek politicians who consistently and openly speaks out against nationalist ideas and provocative statements emerging from Russia. Earlier, he also commented on the killing of a 10-year-old Tajik migrant boy in Russia, who was brutally beaten to death at school by a 15-year-old student, describing the incident as “the result of many years of anti-migrant policies pursued in the country.”
