In Andijan, a fraud scheme involving the preparation of a forged customs officer certificate and a salary statement to obtain a bank loan was uncovered, the State Customs Committee reported.
According to the statement, a rapid response operation conducted by the State Customs Committee along with the Andijan regional and Tashkent city customs departments successfully intercepted a group of individuals who were falsifying official customs documents.
During the operation, the residence of a previously monitored individual was inspected according to established procedures. Authorities discovered a seal marked “Personnel Department of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” salary statements, a certificate purporting the individual to be a customs officer, other employment-related documents, and various tools used for document forgery.
Investigations revealed that an organized group of three people produced falsified salary statements, stamped them with counterfeit seals, and presented forged employment certificates to banks in different regions to secure loans.
Currently, pre-trial investigation measures are being carried out in connection with the case.
It is worth noting that previously in Tashkent, an individual was arrested for presenting themselves as an employee of the Presidential Administration, the State Security Service, and other organizations, forging documents verifying their identity, and using them for personal gain.
