Rain expected in some areas today

Uzbekistan’s Hydrometeorological Service, Uzhydromet, has released the weather forecast for March 26.

According to the agency, no precipitation is expected during the day across most of the country. However, short-term rain and possible thunderstorms are forecast in some areas of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, Navoi, Samarkand, and Kashkadarya regions. Winds will blow at 7–12 m/s, strengthening to 13–18 m/s in northern and desert areas, with possible dust storms in some places. Temperatures will range between 23°C and 28°C.

No precipitation is expected in the capital, Tashkent. Winds will reach 3–8 m/s, and temperatures will be between 25°C and 27°C.

In foothill and mountainous areas, rain is expected in some places, with possible thunderstorms, while high-altitude areas may see mixed precipitation, including rain and snow. Fog is also possible in some locations. There is a risk of mudflows and flash floods. Winds will reach 7–12 m/s, with temperatures ranging from 13°C to 18°C.

It is worth noting that earlier warnings indicated a risk of mudflows and flooding in foothill and mountainous areas due to expected rainfall on March 26 and March 28–30.
