In the Kasbi district of Kashkadarya region, it was discovered that child benefits were being paid to a person who owns a Captiva vehicle. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
During monitoring conducted this year, 10,258 families whose financial situations had improved and were no longer eligible for social assistance were removed from the "Unified Social Protection Registry."
Specifically, it was found that a resident of Kasbi district, A.Sh., was engaged in private agricultural activities, while their spouse, A.B., ran a grocery business as an individual entrepreneur. The household’s living conditions were deemed satisfactory, and a Captiva vehicle registered under the name of A.Sh.'s mother, S.A., was in the family’s use. Despite this, A.Sh. was receiving monthly child benefits of 505,000 soums for three children in 2024.
Additionally, in Parkent district of Tashkent region, the prosecution filed claims in court to recover 8.2 million soums from individuals who were unjustly included in the registry and received state financial assistance. The claims were upheld, and the funds were ordered to be returned to the state.
The report emphasizes that all funds unjustly allocated to individuals who are not in need of social protection will be fully returned to the budget, with monitoring efforts continuing to ensure targeted support reaches low-income families.
