Attention: Strong winds and dust storm expected in capital today

Strong winds and dust storms may be observed in some parts of Uzbekistan, including Tashkent city, today, June 15. In this regard, the capital’s Main Department of Internal Affairs has issued a warning.
Residents and visitors of Tashkent city have been urged to follow precautionary measures.
In particular, they are advised:
- not to stay in open areas during strong winds unless necessary;
- not to stand near trees, advertising structures, power lines or lightweight structures;
- not to leave vehicles under trees or other unsecured structures;
- to keep windows closed as much as possible during dust storms.
Earlier, it was reported that mudflows and flooding may occur in the foothill and mountainous areas of Uzbekistan due to expected rainfall on June 16-19 this year.
