State Security Service introduces call center for urgent security issues

A special operation carried out in the Tashkent region by the State Security Service of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with internal affairs bodies, has disrupted the circulation of synthetic drugs smuggled into the country from Kazakhstan.

According to the report, two citizens, born in 1983 and 1988, entered Uzbekistan through the Navoi border customs post in the Tashkent region and resided in the Kurgan-Tepa district of the Andijan region. During the operation, medical equipment in their possession was examined, leading to the discovery of 4.206 kilograms of Mephedrone and 3.970 kilograms of Alpha-PVP, synthetic drugs with a total street value of \$1 million. These substances were found hidden inside the equipment.

Further operational measures led to the detention of five other individuals—born in 1992, 1993, 1995, and 2000—who are residents of Tashkent city and Tashkent region. It was revealed that they were acting on instructions from a Russian citizen engaged in drug trafficking via the Telegram messenger platform.

In another related case at the Navoi border customs post, a Kyrgyz citizen born in 1980, who was hired as a driver, was stopped while transporting a gas stove from Kazakhstan into Uzbekistan. Upon inspection, law enforcement discovered 1.985 kilograms of Alpha-PVP concealed inside the appliance. The drugs were documented in accordance with procedural regulations.

Subsequently, a Tashkent city resident born in 2006 was detained with physical evidence while attempting to receive the shipment.

It should be recalled that, earlier in the Syrdarya district of the Syrdarya region, individuals who had hidden 77 kilograms and 410 grams of narcotics were apprehended.
