About 60 Uzbek citizens evacuated from Iran

Around 60 Uzbek citizens have been evacuated from Iran due to the escalating situation in the Middle East. This was reported by the Dunyo news agency.

According to the report, in line with the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, operational headquarters have been established at the country’s diplomatic missions in Tehran and Ashgabat. These headquarters are operating around the clock to carry out comprehensive measures for the repatriation of Uzbek citizens from Iran via Turkmenistan.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tehran is maintaining constant communication and coordination efforts to ensure the safe passage of its citizens. Meanwhile, the Embassy in Ashgabat, working in cooperation with Turkmen authorities, is efficiently handling the reception of citizens at the border, resolving visa and transportation issues, and organizing their return home.

To date, approximately 60 Uzbek citizens have been repatriated from Iran through Turkmenistan.

As a reminder, earlier, the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Ahror Burkhanov, reported that more than 30 Uzbek citizens had been successfully evacuated from Iran via Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. Subsequently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan announced that it had urgently evacuated 109 of its citizens from Iran due to rising tensions in the Middle East.
