Criminal case opened following explosion in Gulistan (video)

On 2 December, a fire broke out at a teahouse in the city of Gulistan in Syrdarya region. Following the incident, a criminal case has been opened, the regional Department of Internal Affairs reported.
According to the department, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 257 of Uzbekistan’s Criminal Code (violation of labor protection rules) in connection with the incident at an LLC located in the Taraqqiyot mahalla of Gulistan. One individual has been taken into custody in accordance with procedural regulations.
“Investigative actions are currently under way,” the statement said.
Earlier, it was reported that a fire had occurred at a house in the Andijan district of Andijan region.
