The Islamic Civilization Center plans to invite Oscar-winning actor Ben Kingsley, who played the role of Avicenna (Ibn Sina), as the narrator for upcoming video projects about Uzbekistan’s great scholars. The Center’s press service reported this news.

A regular meeting of the expanded scientific council was held at the new Islamic Civilization Center in Tashkent. The discussion focused on the development of the Center’s activities, enriching exhibitions, expanding international cooperation, and implementing modern information technologies.

It was noted that Euronews and CNN channels are expected to broadcast videos about 100 great Uzbek scholars. According to the Center, these media projects will provide the world with an opportunity to learn more about Uzbekistan’s historical figures, discoveries, and founders of modern science.

The Center also plans to attract other international stars, including Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, Mel Gibson, Angelina Jolie, and Burak Ozcivit, as narrators for the video series.

Ben Kingsley, the Oscar-winning actor, has been invited to participate as a narrator in Uzbekistan’s scientific and educational video project. The report highlights that Kingsley has earned global recognition for his performances in films such as Gandhi, Schindler’s List, The Physician: The Student of Avicenna, and Prince of Persia. His portrayal of Avicenna in The Physician has become one of his most iconic roles.

In cooperation with the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency, more than 150 short films and video clips will be produced and showcased at the Center’s exhibitions.
