Snowfall in Kamchik (video)

Early this morning, November 4, light snow began falling in the upper part of the Kamchik Pass, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The ministry reported that employees of the Emergency Situations Ministry, the Road Patrol Service, and the Kamchikavtoyo‘l enterprise are jointly working to clear the roads of snow, prevent ice formation, and spread a sand-salt mixture. In addition, rescuers from the ministry are conducting monitoring activities and providing assistance to drivers and their vehicles stranded on the road.

“The Ministry of Emergency Situations calls on drivers to strictly observe all safety measures while driving through the pass in order to prevent emergencies related to road traffic accidents,” the ministry said in a statement.

In the video published by the ministry, light snow can be seen gently falling while already covering parts of the pass. Meanwhile, videos circulating on social media show that snow is also falling in other regions of Uzbekistan. So far, snowfall has not reached Tashkent city, but mountainous areas in Kashkadarya, Jizzakh, and other regions are already covered in snow.

It is worth noting that earlier, reports emerged of the first snowfall of the season in Kazakhstan’s Kostanay region.
