3 dies in 2 traffic accidents on Kamchik Pass

Today, August 28, two traffic accidents occurred on the Kamchik pass, resulting in the deaths of three people, the Namangan regional Road Safety Department reported.

The first accident took place at 04:40 on the A-373 highway in the Vodiy–Tashkent direction. The driver of a Lacetti car failed to maintain traffic safety and collided with a truck traveling in the same direction. One passenger in the Lacetti died from severe injuries, while another passenger was hospitalized.

The second accident occurred in the same area at 08:39. The driver of a Cobalt car lost control, hitting the rear of a truck moving on the right side of the road and another truck alongside it. Two passengers in the Cobalt died as a result of their injuries.

Criminal cases have been initiated in both incidents under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code, which covers violations of traffic safety rules.

It is worth noting that earlier accidents on the Kamchik pass included an Isuzu truck losing control and crashing into a road barrier, a Cobalt car falling into a ditch after losing control, and a Cobalt car involved in an accident while pledged for a loan in the Fergana region.
