People selling psychotropic substances detained in Kashkadarya and Andijan

Individuals involved in the sale of potent medicinal substances have been detained in Kashkadarya and Andijan. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the report, during a special operation in Qarshi, citizen Z.Q., who had allegedly been involved in the sale of potent medicinal substances, was caught with material evidence while selling to another citizen two plastic bags containing 29 yellow and red capsules, as well as 60 units of the potent medicine Gabaten, for $500.

In another special operation carried out in cooperation with officers of the Ulug‘nor district department of Andijan region and other law enforcement agencies, citizen J.A. was detained while selling to citizen M.X. four units of the foreign-made potent medicine Regapen and one unit of Tropicamide for 670,000 soums. The medicines were seized from him as material evidence.

Criminal cases have been opened in connection with these incidents under Article 251-1 of the Criminal Code, which covers the illegal circulation of potent or poisonous substances, as well as the production, distribution, advertising or display of products promoting substances that are not classified as narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances. Investigative actions are currently underway.

It is worth noting that earlier, a person involved in the sale of potent medicinal substances worth 40 million soums was detained in Tashkent district of Tashkent region.
