Illegal gambling operation uncovered at hotel (video)

An illegally organized gambling operation has been shut down at a hotel located in the Bobur neighborhood of Jizzakh, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.

According to the report, the participants in the game were residents of Jizzakh born in 1985, 1996, and 1992. Authorities seized three decks of playing cards, $200 in cash, and 4.68 million soums, which were documented as material evidence in accordance with procedure.

It was reported that legal action is currently being taken against the individuals who organized the gambling activity. The Investigation Department under the Jizzakh City Internal Affairs Department is considering initiating a criminal case under Article 278 of the Criminal Code (organization and conduct of gambling and other games based on risk).

It is worth noting that earlier, a man born in 1998 was detained in Tashkent for organizing an illegal gambling operation. During operational measures, cash, a rubber baton, and playing cards were seized as evidence.
